If it is your first time using a sewing pattern, there are several options online for learning to make your first garments. There are many options. I like Mimi G's tutorials and Craftsy classes, but for those on a more restricted budget, I would suggest buying big four patterns when they get close to a dollar and watching Professor Pincushion.
