We all know the kids need to know letter sounds for phonics, but they don't need to know all of their letters to begin learning to read. They can begin learning to read armed with a handful of consonants and a vowel. Below, you will find an entire kindergarten reading curriculum (just add read alouds).
Before I have him read books, we will match picture cards. This helps with comprehension.
